FAQ

Questions About Ironleafforge

Everything you want to know about the blog, contributions, and how we work.

Yes. We welcome pitches from writers based in or closely connected to Rome. Use our contributor portal to submit a short pitch — include your angle, your sources, and why you're the right person to write it.

We publish three to four new articles per week, plus a Friday newsletter rounding up the week's best reads and upcoming Rome events worth your time.

Most content is fully free. A Premium membership unlocks our full archive, ad-free reading, exclusive long-reads, and invitations to our monthly Rome reader meetups.

We do accept a limited number of sponsored features per quarter, but they are always clearly labeled and must align with our editorial values. We don't publish anything we wouldn't stand behind editorially.

Subscribe for free at the bottom of any article page. The weekly newsletter goes out every Friday and includes our top picks, hidden event recommendations, and occasionally a short original essay not published on the site.
